Hamaiketako is a word in Basque and means “the eleven” and refers to lunchtime. In the Basque Country we like to maintain gastronomic traditions and in GUIARTU we have achieved it through a bike route. And at that time, in honor of the value we give “to the table” we will enjoy a good “Hamaiketako” The landscape and the products that leave the house of the ranchers will be the brooch to this route that links the Green Capital with the nearest rural environment.
The bike tour starts in the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca, the nerve center of the city. We will get on the bikes and pedal to the east of the city until we connect with the greenway of Vasco Navarro. Arriving in the village of Otazu we will take a road with little traffic to the village of Okina where we will have lunch in a bar of which “few remain”.
We will walk through the okina-Saseta gorge with a flat profile and return to Vitoria-Gasteiz through the mountains of Vitoria.
